Description:
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 40 to 50 below expected.
* WHERE...Northern Susitna Valley, Northern Copper Valley, and Tok
Cutoff.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM AKDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 50 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Over the next few days, expect the coldest
wind chills during the late night and early morning, with
temperatures warming up during the daytime.
Instruction:
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
