...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Alabama... Paint Rock River NEAR Woodville affecting Jackson, Marshall and Madison Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Paint Rock River near Woodville. * WHEN...Until Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water is covering Alabama State Route 65 about two miles north of U.S. Highway 72. Several County Roads in Paint Rock Valley are flooded...including Jackson County Road 20. At 20.0 feet, Portions of Alabama State Highway 65 are closed due to high water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 19.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:00 AM CDT Monday was 19.1 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to a crest of 19.9 feet this afternoon. It will then begin to fall, falling to a stage of 19.1 feet just after midnight tonight. The river is forecast to continue to gradually fall, falling below flood stage early Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
