...Forecast flooding changed from Moderate to Major severity for the following rivers in Alabama... Flint River at Brownsboro affecting Madison County. * WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Flint River at Brownsboro. * WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 23.5 feet, Significant flooding is occurring between the Flint River and a man-made levee created by railroad tracks on the left bank. Water breaches a driveway on the downstream right bank and may be approaching a home on the upstream right bank. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 22.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 1:00 AM CDT Monday was 22.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.1 feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
