Description: 
At 647 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain have caused flooding in northeast Cullman County, where portions of County Roads 1843 and 1844 are underwater. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Albertville, Cullman, Hartselle, Guntersville, Arab, Good Hope, Falkville, Holly Pond, Baldwin, Vinemont, Baileyton, West Point, Eva, Cole Springs, Lacon, Florette, Phelan, Ryan Crossroads, Hulaco and Walter.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
