FRWFWD The following message is transmitted at the request of the Montague County Emergency Management. Evacuations of areas west of St. Jo in Montague County have ceased. Emergency crews continue to battle the wildfire but have it contained at this time. However, any area residents should still be mindful of emergency personnel responding to the fire.

The Washington State Department of Ecology has issued an Air Quality Alert until 1 PM PDT this afternoon. An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Walla Walla County due to current and expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter levels may reach Very Unhealthy, especially in the morning and overnight hours. When air quality is Very Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Stay inside and filter indoor air to keep it cleaner. Go elsewhere for cleaner air, if needed.
