...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR MUCH OF NORTHERN AND PORTIONS OF CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING... .Warm and dry conditions are expected across North Dakota on Sunday, ahead of an approaching cold front. The combination of strong west winds or 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph and low humidities of 20 to 30 percent, could produce critical fire weather conditions over most of northern and portions of central North Dakota. Near critical fire weather conditions are possible

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...In North Dakota, Towner, Cavalier, Benson, Ramsey, Eddy, Nelson and Western Walsh. * WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 24 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

The National Weather Service in Glasgow has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 120 and 122. * WIND...West to northwest at 15 to 25 mph, gusting up to 35 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
