...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING FOR EASTERN NEW MEXICO DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY... On Saturday, west winds strengthen again with occasional gusts of 35 to near 40 mph forecast over much of eastern New Mexico. In addition, humidity will fall as low as 8 to 15 percent, resulting in another round of critical fire weather across portions of eastern New Mexico. Locally critical fire weather may be observed outside of the watch area.
