Eel River at Bowling Green. .Rainfall amounts of two to nearly four inches over much of central and southern Indiana yesterday has brought minor flooding to Youngs Creek at Amity and the Eel River at Bowling Green. These sites are forecast to go back below flood stage tonight however additional rainfall is expected this afternoon and overnight that could bring flooding back. At 1141 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Portions of northwest Grayson County have observed 3 to 4 inches of rain so far this morning, and light rain will continue for the next hour or two. Currently, the heaviest rainfall is moving into central portions of the county with hourly rain rates of 2 to 3 inches.
