Areas of fog have developed this morning, with the greatest coverage across far northeast Indiana and especially into northwest Ohio. Widespread visibilities less of one half mile or less are expected, with patches of visibilities less than one quarter of a mile. Motorists should be prepared for rapid changes in visibilities across short distances. Visibilities are expected to improve after 930 AM EDT.

Areas of dense fog can be expected this morning. Motorists should expect rapidly changing visibility, down to near zero at times. Remember to use your low beam headlights in fog, slow down, and provide plenty of braking distance between yourself and any vehicles in front of you.

As low clouds clear from west to east early this morning areas of fog are developing. Some of this fog could become locally dense, with visibility of a quarter mile or less. If driving in thick fog, use low beam headlights, slow down, and leave plenty of distance between vehicles. The fog will start to dissipate in most locations by 10 AM.

Some patchy dense fog will restrict visibilities to less than one-quarter of a mile across valleys and lower elevation areas of Northwest Georgia. The fog should lift after 10 AM. If driving this morning, slow down, use low-beam headlights and leave extra distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
