Snowfall beginning Monday night could potentially lead to slick travel conditions along Isabel Pass beginning Monday night. Cooler temperatures are expected to settle in through mid week which could allow for the first accumulations of the season. Up to 6" is possible through Wednesday night. This could be the start of the permanent snow pack.

Cooler temperatures will allow for the first chance for snowfall accumulations. While snow could be seen in some low lying areas in and around Fairbanks, the best chance for accumulations will be at higher elevations. Snowfall accumulations from Monday night through Wednesday night are expected to be between 1" and 3". Any snow that falls in the lower elevations will be very wet and will mostly likely melt during the day with high temperatures remaining in the low 40s.

According to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, an earthquake occurred about 83 miles west of Isla Mona at 5:50 PM AST. Based on location and magnitude the earthquake was not sufficient to generate a tsunami damaging to Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Some of these areas may experience non-damaging sea level changes.
