This is the Arizona Department of Public Safety. A SAFE Alert has been issued for the Gilbert Police Department. The Gilbert Police Department is looking for 78 year old Michael Chernek. Michael is a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, is bald with brown eyes and an unknown clothing description. Michael was last seen at 9:00 AM on August 7, 2026, on foot near South Gilbert and West Warner Roads in Gilbert, Arizona. Michael has a medical condition which may cause him to become lost or easily confused.
