Description:
At 817 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sparta, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Monroe
County, including the following locations... Oil City, St Marys,
Norwalk, Jackson Pass, Wilton, Tunnel City, Farmers Valley, Highway
131 And County A, Ridgeville, and Tunnel Trail Campground.
This includes Interstate 90 in Wisconsin between mile markers 24 and
43.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
west central Wisconsin.
