At 659 PM CDT, broadcast media reported a strong thunderstorm over Lubbock International Airport, or 5 miles northeast of Lubbock, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Broadcast media. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Lubbock, Idalou, Lubbock International Airport, Texas Tech University, Downtown Lubbock, and New Deal.
