* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southern Cooke County in north central Texas... Northwestern Denton County in north central Texas... Northeastern Wise County in north central Texas... * WHEN...Until 300 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1152 AM CDT, an NWS employee reported moving water over a low-water crossing on the I-35 Frontage Road near CR248 due to heavy rain from earlier thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring and expected to continue the next few hours. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - I-35 between Sanger and Valley View is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Gainesville, Sanger, Krum, Pilot Point, Lindsay, Ray Roberts Park Johnson Branch, Ray Roberts Park Isle Du Bois, Road Runner, Valley View, Prairie Point, Leo, Lois, Era, Bolivar, Hood, Slidell, Myra, Rosston and Burns. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
