Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
county, Nolan.
* WHEN...Until 115 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Some street
flooding is likely in Sweetwater, Nolan, Maryneal and Roscoe.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1117 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated numerous showers and
thunderstorms with heavy rain moving north across Nolan
County. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected to
occur in a short period of time. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sweetwater, Roscoe, Blackwell, Nolan, Maryneal, Champion,
Hylton, Wastella, The Intersection Of Highway 70 And Ranch
Road 53, Camp Boothe Oaks, The Intersection Of Ranch Road 608
And Highway 147 and Lake Sweetwater.
- This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 229 and 259.

IH 20 frontage roads crossing Bitter Creek, IH 20 frontage
roads crossing Towd Creek, FM 1170 crossing Eagle Creek, FM
2035 crossing Bitter Creek, IH 20 frontage roads crossing
Plum Creek, IH 20 frontage roads crossing Sweetwater Creek,
crossings along County Road 226, County Road 229 crossing
Cottonwood Creek, County Road 221 crossing Little Stink Creek
and County Road 108 crossing Kldoogan Creek.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
