* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following county, Starr. * WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 728 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rio Grande City, Roma, Escobares, La Rosita, Rio Grande City Municipal Airport, Los Alvarez, Starr County Memorial Hospital, Starr County Sheriffs Office, Fort Ringgold County Park, Rio Grande City Fire Department, Los Garzas, Garceno, Ringgold Middle School, North Escobares, Las Lomas, Roma City Police Department, Roma Park, Roma City Hall, Roma Public Library and Barrera Elementary School. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
