Description:
At 819 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bethany, or near Sullivan, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Sullivan, Arcola, Arthur, Bethany, Lovington, Dalton City, Humboldt,
Allenville, Cooks Mill, Bourbon, Chesterville, and Cadwell.
This includes Interstate 57 between mile markers 192 and 209.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
