Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Northwestern Spartanburg County in upstate South
Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 1230 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1034 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2
inches of rain have fallen in a corridor from Inman to Lyman.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding in
portions of the Tyger River drainages and Lawson's Fork Creek.
Runoff issues and flooding of low-lying areas north of I-85,
throughout Duncan, Lyman and Wellford remains likely this
morning, as well as around Lake Cooley and north to Inman.

Bowen and Fingerville.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
