* WHAT...Lingering flooding caused by excessive runoff. * WHERE...South Central McDowell County in western North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1245 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1111 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated diminished rainfall rates atop the advised area and rain will continue to taper off into early afternoon. As much as 2.5 to 3 inches of rain had fallen this morning in a corridor from around Marion south to Sugar Hill. Continue to remain wary of lingering high water conditions and flooding of low-lying areas. This advisory will expire on schedule. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marion, Lake James, Pleasant Gardens, Glenwood, Sugar Hill, Fero, Nebo and Woodlawn. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
