Description:
At 1217 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles northwest of Clines Corners, or 19 miles northeast of Moriarty,
moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of Northern Torrance, Southeastern Santa Fe and
West Central San Miguel Counties.
This includes Highway 285 between Mile Markers 256 and 273.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
