Description:
At 1059 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Raton, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Raton, Sugarite, Sugarite Canyon State Park and Raton Crews
Airport.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 64 between Mile Markers 337 and 359. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 439 and 459.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
