Description:
At 352 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm outflow
boundary extending from 5 miles west of Los Lunas to 11 miles
northwest of Bernardo, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and blowing dust.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Visibility may be reduced below 3 miles.
Locations impacted include...
Los Lunas, Belen, Valencia, Bosque Farms, Los Trujillos-Gabaldon,
Jarales, Los Chaves, Casa Colorada, Rio Communities and Tome.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 60 near Mile Marker 171. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers
176 and 207.
Instruction:
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below 3 miles at times.
