* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southeastern Boone County in central Missouri...
Southwestern Callaway County in central Missouri...
Western Cole County in central Missouri...
* WHEN...Until 1130 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some
low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 823 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jefferson City, Ashland, Holts Summit, Columbia Regional Airport,
St. Martins, Russellville, New Bloomfield, Lake Mykee Town,
Centertown, Lake Mykee, Brazito, Hickory Hill, Marion, Lohman,
Eugene, Hartsburg, Elston, Wilton and Guthrie.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
