Description:
Rainfall of up to 1 inch may occur in as little as 30 minutes.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of North Mississippi, including the following
counties, Alcorn, Benton, Marshall, Prentiss, Tippah, Tishomingo
and Union.
* WHEN...Until 1245 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1052 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Corinth, Booneville, Holly Springs, Ripley, Iuka, J P Coleman
State Park, Burnsville, Blue Mountain, Jumpertown, Glen, Snow
Lake Shores, Theo, Hinkle, Gravestown, Thrashers, Canaan,
Leedy, Pineflat, Midway and Farmington.
