Description: 
At 622 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Alphoretta, or 9 miles south of Prestonsburg, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Pikeville, Prestonsburg, Estill, Coal Run Village, Martin, Forest Hills, Wayland, Allen, East McDowell, Huddy, Meta, Hippo, Glo, Printer, Lancer, Aluba, McDowell, Piso, Betsy Layne, and Dotson.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
