Description: 
At 207 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Flooding continues in some spots. Between 2 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lexington, Northland, Chevy Chase, Thoroughbred Acres, Cadentown, U K Arboretum, Bryan Station, Highlands, Meadowthorpe and Cardinal Hill.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely and have them relay your report to the National Weather Service in Louisville.
