Description: 
At 511 PM CDT, a dust channel was 8 miles north of Colby, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Near zero visibility with damaging wind in excess of 60 mph. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 5 PM CDT visibility as low as 100 yards was reported 3 miles east-southeast of Levant. IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel along Highway 25. This dust channel will remain over mainly rural areas of northern Thomas County.
Instruction: 
Dust storms are unhealthy and have been known to lead to Valley Fever. Avoid outdoor exposure. Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE! Strong to severe thunderstorms are also possible behind this dust channel. Keep updated with this quickly evolving situation.
