The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a * Dust Storm Warning for... Cheyenne County in northwestern Kansas... Rawlins County in northwestern Kansas... Northwestern Decatur County in northwestern Kansas... * Until 600 PM CDT. * At 504 PM CDT, a wall of dust was along a line extending from 4 miles northeast of Colby to 6 miles southwest of Bird City, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging wind in excess of 60 mph. SOURCE...Emergency Management. 5 PM CDT a wall of dust was reported with near zero visibility near the Sherman and Cheyenne county line. IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel along Highways 27, 25, and 36. Locations impacted include... St. Francis, Atwood, Bird City, McDonald, Herndon, Ludell, and Blakeman.
