Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Illinois, including the
following county, La Salle.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Ponding of water in low lying areas is expected. Creeks
and streams may rise out of their banks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 506 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Radar rainfall estimates indicate rainfall
amounts of between 1.5 and 2.5 inches have fallen across
portions of the advisory area, with another 1 to 2 inches
possible in some spots.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ottawa, Streator, Peru, La Salle, Mendota, Marseilles,
Sheridan, Lake Holiday, Oglesby, Seneca, Somonauk, Earlville,
North Utica, Serena, Leland, Tonica, Grand Ridge, Naplate,
Millington and Dayton.

Instruction:
A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
