Clifty Creek at Hartsville.
Sugar Creek near Edinburgh.
Mill Creek near Cataract.
Youngs Creek at Amity.
.Total rainfall amounts of 3 to over 5 inches of rain across much of
central and southern Indiana is bringing minor to moderate flooding
across many fast responding waterways in the area. Additional
rainfall over the weekend and next week could bring additional
flooding.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Sugar Creek near Edinburgh.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Extensive flooding along Sugar Creek
affecting several river cabins and local roads. Flooding of U.S.
Highway 31 near Edinburgh is very likely. Several local roads
along Sugar Creek from Indiana 44 downstream to gage site are
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM EST Thursday the stage was 14.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 12:00 PM EST Thursday was 14.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.4
feet late tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
