Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...
St. Francis River near Patterson affecting Wayne County.
.The St. Francis River at Patterson is expected to rise to minor
flood stage by Friday morning. It is expected to fall below flood
stage friday evening.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Francis River near Patterson.
* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CST Thursday the stage was 12.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this morning to a crest of 24.5 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
