...The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers...
Great Miami River at Miamitown.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Great Miami River at Miamitown.
* WHEN...From early this morning to Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Flooding impacts low-lying areas along the
Great Miami River south of Miamitown over southwest Miami
Township. Flooding also occurs along the river from New Baltimore
to Cleves. Flooding worsens for businesses on the east side of
the river near Taylor Creek, with stretches of East Miami River
road flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 12.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early this morning to a crest of 22.7 feet this afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage late Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
