...FIRE WEATHER WATCH MONDAY FROM NOON UNTIL 7 PM EAST OF THE
CENTRAL MOUNTAIN CHAIN DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY...
.Critical fire weather conditions are forecast east of the
central mountain chain today and Monday due to a persistent lee-
side surface trough and ample atmospheric mixing with high
temperatures climbing 8 to 20 degrees above 1991-2020 averages.
The greatest confidence for critical wind speeds will be north of
Highway 60 today, and between Highway 60 and Highway 64 Monday.
* AREA AND TIMING...The Northeast Plains (Zone 104), Northeast
Highlands (Zone 123), and East Central Plains (Zone 126) from
noon through 8 PM MDT Sunday, and from noon until 7 PM on
Monday.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Sustained from the southwest or west at 20 to
30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph today, and gusts up to 40 mph on
Monday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 5 to 13 percent both
days.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
