...Critical Fire Weather Conditions Forecast Thursday...
.Critical fire weather conditions associated with breezy south
winds and very low humidity are forecast behind a pronounced
dryline Thursday afternoon. A fair amount of uncertainty persists
with regard to the eastern extent of the dryline on Thursday.
At this time, locations along and south of I-70 in eastern
Colorado and adjacent Kansas border counties appear to be most
at-risk.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 013 Sherman, 027 Wallace,
041 Greeley, 253 Kit Carson and 254 Cheyenne CO.
* TIMING...Thursday afternoon.
* WINDS...South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 to 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop
may rapidly grow and spread out of control.
