Description:
At 247 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Spanish Peaks, or 30 miles northwest of Trinidad, moving northeast at
50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Walsenburg, La Veta, Aguilar, Farisita, Gulnare, Spanish Peaks,
Cuchara, and Cuchara Pass.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
southeastern Colorado.
