Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.
* WHERE...Northeastern Weld County in northeastern Colorado...
* WHEN...Until 545 AM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 402 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain and
thunderstorms had moved out of the area. Earlier heavy rain may
cause small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Cottonwood Creek, Wild Horse Creek, Spring Creek, North Pawnee
Creek, Pawnee Creek, George Creek, Horsetail Creek, South Pawnee
Creek, Twomile Creek and Igo Creek. Flooding impacts will
continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mainly rural areas of Northeastern Weld County.
Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and
other low lying areas.
