Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Walker and Winston.
* WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 551 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jasper, Arley, Double Springs, Addison, Falls City, Smith
Lake, Corinth Rec Area, Curry, Helicon, Nesmith, Houston
Recreational Area, Winston Free State Barn, Houston, Big Bear
Branch, Butler Branch, Yellow Creek, Little Bear Branch,
Devils Branch, Little Dismal Creek and Coon Creek.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
