Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
county, Blount.
* WHEN...Until 745 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 436 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oneonta, Springville, Cleveland, Dallas, Locust Fork,
Allgood, Fairview, Hayden, Nectar, Rosa, Inland Lake, Bangor,
Blount Springs, Highland Lake, Easley, Clear Springs, Remlap,
Holly Springs and Smoke Rise.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
