Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Calhoun, St. Clair and Talladega.
* WHEN...Until 615 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 308 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Anniston, Oxford, Pell City, Leeds, Moody, Springville,
Odenville, West End-Cobb Town, Cobb Town, Saks, Lincoln,
Margaret, Argo, Riverside, Ragland, Munford, Ohatchee, Hobson
City, Honda Manufacturing Of Alabama and Harrisburg.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
